MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella) shot

didi went to a huge birthday party for all babies born in September 2005

Didi took his MMR shot on the 14th October. The nurse from the Maternal and Children Health Center warned there could be fever or rashes 5-12 days after the injection. Today is Day 10 and we started to discover red patches on his chest. I am almost sure it's nothing and will go away soon.

Our little guy is really into walking these days. With his arms up in the air trying to maintain his balance, he can walk freely between the dining table and the sofa ,although we have a small apartment and this distance may seem like nothing to some people, that's some major achievement as far as didi is concerned. In no time, didi will have steady steps and we will be busy chasing him around.

In the play ground, didi is a friendly little fellow and can go up and down the slide now. I want him to join a play group, but will wait till I see fellow Pei-lin next time and to get her first hand opinion.

We have changed his formula to, he is now on Wyeth Progress Gold. As a result, I suspect, he is not eating as much as before. We are not sure that was because of the new formula that is filling him up or that he is busy on the go and just don't want to waste time sitting down and eat. Let's hope his appetite will come back soon.

One last note, didi weighed 10.9 kg when we went to give him the MMR shot, which is not a big improvement from last time but I learned that growth in terms of weight tends to slow down after kids hit 1. He is still all baby talks now, no mommy and daddy just yet...cannot wait for those first words...

finger food trick

Didi is growing in the independence department and many of his behaviour may seem to be rebellious at times. when mommy wanted him to feed himself by picking up bread/cookies all by himself, he refused and wanted to be fed or else he preferred not to eat. Then, when mommy pretended those baby cookies were for adults and left them in a topper ware on the floor and pretended to ignored the cookies, he quietly went up to the topper ware and started to pick up the cookies using his fingers and fed himself.

I suppose he just wanted to be one of the adult and just want to imitate everything we do. may be i should not deliberately try to teach him anything, just pretend i don't care and he will want to follow anything that i do, haha.

卯起來學走

這兩天didi進步神速，從可以自己站幾秒鐘的三腳貓功夫到現在可以一站就站個半分鐘，還很搞笑地雙手抬高高在保持平衡。這個小傢伙似乎很想快點走路，現在日也練夜也練，老愛扶著牆壁練站功，難怪進步神速呢。

昨天晚上，和爸爸練習牽手走，兩個人走得歪七扭八，但卻一起開心到不行。今天晚上和媽媽玩放手走，我故意將兩人之間的距離拉長，didi也從原來的三步飛撲進步到現在的五步快走，還開心到個不行呢。兒子，看來距離你趴趴走的日子真的不遠了！

中秋節快樂

大家好，好久不見啦，我是阿Di。
媽媽最近偷懶沒有幫我拍照片，所以我好像很久沒露臉。
今天中秋節，我就祝大家快樂。

我現在有6顆牙了，也會自己站ㄛ，開始夠膽走兩步撲向媽媽，
下個月我應該就會走了吧。

還有，我兩個禮拜前被狠毒的蚊仔咬了三大口，
紅了好大一片，眼睛下面還被咬一口，很慘...
我最討厭蚊子！
