Graduated from PE Class today!

DSC00280

Didi has been going to KL Hospital for Physio since he was about 7 months old because the doctor thought he had low muscle tone. However, he managed to walk at 13 month and has been developing very well In both micro and gross motor skills. We took him In for a close evaluation by the doctor and the doctor thought he does not any more need physio.

Today, the nurse who looked after him at physio told me that she thinks his physical development Is age appropriate and this will be his last class. We walk out of the room proudly, yes didi graduated from his PE class today!

School Trip - Tai Po Railway Museum

P1030532

Lots and lots of kids from the same school were loaded onto 2 buses. That was a fun day out and maMi got a chance to get to know some of the moms better on the trip.

Teacher Robert announced the next school trip will be off to Gold Coast! Yeah..., but just don't get to excited just yet. He is referring to the one in New Territory, not Brisban, haha.

Baby Bumble Bee DVD

P1030368
Just when I think didi has very little vocabularies, he surprised me today by pronouncing new words while watching this new series of DVD I bought him online. Baby Bumble Bee has several series of educational dvds to help youngsters develop their language skills and have been recommended by various child care specialists. They are found to be effective in helping kids building up vocabularies through show real common objects to children with narration, flash cards, actions, sign languages, questions in an interactive format.

While I was showing didi Bee Smart Baby Vocabulary Builder Volume 1, he attempted to say many words after the narrator says them. During that short period of time, I heard he said stuff I have not heard him saying before such as: cat, dog, butter fly and some word I have heard him saying before such as ball and flower. I am glad to see progress even with just the first dvd I have showed him and hope this will really help him out in building up his vocabularies.

Halo Bear

Thanks bubi for making didi this lovely Tee, this is an unique shirt that we will cherish for many years to come!

busy busy

may2007
Oh, boy, maMi hasn't added any entry ever since didi was kissed by a girl in the park. Okay, we have been busy. didi goes to school three days a week, and the fourth photo on top row is didi's first art work ( a volcano, with mami's help of course). We have been out and about almost every weekend. Been to places like Sai Kung, Stanley, Lon Gu Tan, Disneyland...

didi's language skill is improving. New words are: flower, ball, the end (when he turns to the last page of a book, he would say this) and sings more songs. New songs that he has learned from playgroup and loves now are "Two little dickie birds" and "Brown bear, brown bear what do you see" (which is also a picture book that didi loves because the teacher sings along while he reads it to the kids. maMi went to the library and checked out a copy of Brown bear so didi can read it at home any time he wants). He even makes mamamamama sounds more often and once I was almost certain that he was calling me mama. We are getting there, slowly, but getting there.

One thing that maMi has noticed is that didi loves to play with adults and older kids but absolutely hates kids younger or his age. When he is bored or in a bad mood and you put him in a situation where there are kids his age (eg his play group), he would act aggressively by grabbing other kids although they did not do anything to him. maMi is quite upset about this behaviour and one day bursted into tears at school (because didi was also being very difficult on that day). How embarrassing... Nevertheless, the teacher's advise is that this is only a phase and once his language skill develops, he will be able to express himself better and these aggressive behaviour will then disappear. I long for that day.

Labour Day

P1030155
No work today, let's all go and play. Didi's cough has just cleared up and we think it probably isn't a good idea to take him to the beach although it was a perfect day for the beaches, never mind next time. I bought didi a very smart surfing suit and cannot wait to see him in it...

Went to Hong Hum and took a little stroll by the water front, all boys are in a good mood here, hee hee...of course, who wouldn't with these sea breezes. Summer is around the corner!
