Saying goodbye to pacificer and diaper

Yes, didi is really trying very hard in entering his "big boy" era. He went to a mall with us without wearing a diaper today for four hours and managed to stay dry! During that four hours, we went to toilet twice and he managed to "perform" both time! It looks like it's about time we bid farwell to diapers and say hello to undies.

He is also doing very well in quitting his bed-time pacificer usage. For 4 days in a row he has not used it.

He asks for it by saying "momi, i want dui dui."

Each time I would say to him "dui dui is taking a nap/sleeping. You are a big boy now, you don't need dui dui."

He would then say to himself "dui dui is sleeping now, no dui dui." and goes to sleep without any complaint!

He really is growing up very fast everyday! What does momi think? I am happy and sad at the same time...it feels great to see him making so much progress but I think I am going to miss his toddler era, when momi means the world to him...

Big Boy

This big boy...
  1. is 100% accurate when he tells you he wants to go poo-poo
  2. is able to stay dry if you remind him to go wee-wee every 2 hours, or else leakage happens
  3. speaks in sentences most of the time but articulation needs improvement because he is still hard to understand most of the time
  4. is much better at his comprehension skills, hencing, you can reason with him most of the time, thank God...
  5. height: 95cm; weight:18kg
  6. thinks Ernie (yeah, the one from Sesame Street. Ernie is one of his stuff-toy friend) is his worst enemy and puts him in naughty corner 24-7
  7. school teachers think his best subject at school is singing and dancing

Gai See

didi is very much in love with this one. the colorful illustrations, the enchanted passages all fascinate him. He particularly loves the pages in which mango, starfruit and dragon fruit are all painted with vivid colours. Pages about creatures from deep-sea also draw his attention, he can stare at those lobster, crab and eel for ages.

We actually met the writer about a year ago. She had a book reading at a book store in Stanly. didi didn't appreciate her series of books then but this one has become his old time favourite.
