Didi will be 1Y9M by tomorrow, just 2 more months to go before we celebrate his 2nd birthday. Although he is still a guy of not-so-many-words, maMi does see improvements in his vocabularies and compression skill. He is so in love with the expressions “oh-oh” and “ai-ya”, sometimes he pretends to be clumsy so that he will get an opportunity to say them. He would drop his toys on purpose and says “ai-ya”, I think that’s cute but when he pretends to fall over and say “oh-oh”, that’s not so funny if he does that repeatedly.
He can obviously understand instructions such as:
“Give me/dadi a kiss”
“Give this to mami/jiejie/dadi.” He knows jie jie is usually in the Kitchen and dadi is usually in the study so he just heads directly to these two places after he got this instruction.
“Close/Open the door”
“Sit down and put socks/shoes on”
“Put this/toys away”
Didi went to another interview for pre-nursery school on Friday and this time it looks pretty promising because the teacher was actually quite positive about didi’s behavior and I think that’s more reasonable for a kid his age. He is an explorer and that's perfectly normal for him to investigate places he visit. After all, how could you really expect a 1.5 year old toddler to sit and listen all the time without wondering around? Let kids be kids and I think I can wait for him to grow up in his own pace, because a person can only a kid once!
