Our Trip to Bohol, Philippines - Day One

The first day of holiday...

On the 12th of July, 2013,  the start of the journey, we took a taxi to the airport and then hopped on a plane from the Cebu Pacific Airlines to go to Cebu. The seats were very comfortable on the plane and I liked it.  The flight took about 1 hour 15 minutes. I read some books and took a rest.

When we finally landed at Cebu, we immediately got 3 tickets to a ferry headed for Bohol, (I don't know why my mom was in such a rush, we even ate lunch and still got on the shuttle bus to the ferry! ( Hee-he!) . The shuttle bus wasn't the best bus I had ever ridden on because there was a HUGE step I had to jump on  to get into the bus, but it was OK. However, the shuttle bus had no air-con! :( well, we just had to deal with it.

When we got on the ferry, I found out that the ferry wasn't too bad. The ferry was called the Ocean Jet and I like the name because I think it's cool. We left at the port at Cebu and arrived at the port of Tagbilaran, Bohol.  During the 2 hours ferry ride, I read a book and did my math homework.

This is a Bangca, the boat we used to get to Balicasag island.

When we arrived at Bohol, My Dad got a cab, which took us to Anola beach, then we hopped on a boat to Balicasag island. There were thunder and it was dark, so I was scared that the boat, which was made out of wood, would brake down. Luckily, the boat did NOT brake down. When we reached our destination, it was VERY late in the night. We ate dinner immediately after we arrived. We ordered a very tasty seafood soup, which was called Balicasag soup. It had shrimps, calms, and other kinds of seafood in it. After dinner, we finally went to sleep and I slept soundly as I was very tired.

This is Balicasag island, the island we visited.
