didi turned two one day before he started new school and that was two weekends ago!
We had a small family gathering to celebrate his birthday and he clearly knew what was going on too. I was singing "Happy Birthday" while I was decorating the living room and he sang along with me. When he saw his birthday cakes, he sang "Happy Birthday" automatically!
didi is around 30 pounds and around 90cm tall on his birthday. In terms of his language development, he is saying a lot more words and showing us that he understands perfectly almost all the time. He is friendly most of time and will give out his trade mark "bear hugs" when he is in a good mood. Those hugs are usually saved for pretty girls and it is usually quite obvious. Ask three adults to line-up and he will definitely hug the one who looks the prettiest. Imagine what he will turn out to be when he grows up.
A lot of experts warn parents that when a child turns two, one may really strive for independence and become very hard to deal with sometimes. Let's hope didi's difficult moments don't last too long...
