Date: 26 June 2008

didi was saying, "it's Hokkaido!" Yes, Hokkaido, here we come.

Touched down! The whole family was now in Hokkaido. Everyone waited for maMi and Auntie Joyce to get the SIM cards for the mobile phones. Too bad that Auntie Joyce's phone was not compatible with the SIM card, so we ended up renting just one card.

Still in the airport. Grandpa, grand daughter and grand son the trio were waiting for the shuttle bus, which took us to the rental car outlet to pick up our Delica D:5. It was wonderful and we had a great time with it during our five days on the island.

By this time we were in the car already. The sun was setting and we were on our way from the airport to Sapporo. How could we miss our crab dinner? No, of course not. The three had a great time during dinner. Two little monkeys got so excited, they kept playing with the sliding door and one of the door eventually fell on top of didi. That was scary but funny at the same time. Luckily no one got hurt.

Kani kani, we love you so~~~These ones were taken during and after dinner while everyone was putting shoes back on.

Oh, how we had to take a shot of the gigantic crab, of course.

Walking back to the hotel after dinner. This is where we stayed. Hotel Sunrote New Sapporo. The hotel is very close to 狸小路 . It was around 11pm when we made our way back, so all shops were closed and we did not do any shopping.
Later that night, didi started to cough up and it went on for the rest of the night. His breathing became very short and rapid. I was pretty worried and could not sleep at all. We asked the front desk where about was the nearest hospital but then decided to go to Otaru the next day since we booked our hotel room in Otaru.
More on the trip later.
